After a hugely successful debut last year, WOMPA is back!
Short for West of Melbourne Performing Arts, WOMPA is a one-act play festival, where prospective playwrights submit a short, unpublished play to perform at the Wyndham Cultural Centre, for the chance to win an award.
The theme for this year is ‘Unexpected Connections’ and all plays must use this theme as inspiration for the context of their play.
Award categories include; Judges Best Written ($200 prize money), Judges Best Production ($100 Prize money), People’s Choice Best Production Gold, People’s Choice Best Production Silver, and Best Actor.
WOMPA is a collaborative program in conjunction with Essence Theatre Productions.
