Some say the future is black.
The majority of the world’s population is black, and as technology connects us globally the future feels more present than ever.
Futurism was an art movement which began in Italy at the beginning of the 20th century inspired by new technology, fast cars and speed. Black Futurism explores innovation in the 21st century and what possibilities arise for young black artists in Australia today.
Looking to the future is a challenge in today’s world but we need the vision of artists to guide us. FUTURISM creates new possibilities and images of hope and splendour.
